fIrEwOrKs!!!!

Happy 4th of July everyone! I hope you all had a great day! Most of our day yesterday was cleaning and grocery shopping but after all of that we went to a BBQ and then came home for a little bit and went to the fireworks at the Meridian Speedway! We wanted to lay in the park by the speedway but there were SOOO many people there! So we drove around to the back of the speed way and were by some buildings but couldn't see that well so we started walking around and we found and open space with a few people around and we sat there then we realized that the people who would be lighting off the fireworks were directly in front of us!!! It was pretty exciting! we had the best seats of anyone there! We will have to remember that place for next year!! I also found out that my camera has a setting specifically for fireworks so I gave it a try and I was pretty impressed really! For more firework pictures....see my facebook page! :)

This is the latest Strasser music video! The last one Lindy, Cali and I did was called "I enjoy being a girl" but since we are Strasser's we only felt it was right if this was the follow up!

Summer School...YUCK!

Yesterday was my first day of summer school...it is awful...but it is totally worth it!! I get to graduate a whole year early!!! It is no fun at all I have to sit through FIVE FREAKIN' hours of US. History. I don't really mind history but it gets a little bit old after a while. Cali is also doing summer school but we are not in the same classes because I'm taking my sophomore classes that I never finished and Cali is taking some senior classes to get ahead! I have summer school for three weeks and then a one week break and then three more weeks, then I am done! I am also taking two online classes this summer because not only do I have to make up core classes I have to make up electives. Ya really stupid huh? So I am taking typing online (it will be SUPER easy because I am a very fast typer) and I am also taking Health! So until summer school is over my summer is going to be no fun at all but I just have to keep telling myself that I get to graduate in 2010 instead of 2011!

hmm...almost three months...not bad...

Well it has definitely been awhile..but if you have been on facebook at all you are caught up with my life! haha! let's see...The rest of March was pretty much amazing! Spring break was a lot of fun! I got to see my most favorite cousin Dan and his friend George! we had a lot of fun and even took a road trip to Rexburg to visit the cousins and try to convince George to go there next year for college..I don't think that is going to happen but it would be fun! April I went on choir tour to Seattle halfway there one of our three buses broke down, just so happened to be the one I was on, so I got to ride in the aisle for about two hours! Pretty exciting! Seattle was fun, I had never been there..can't say I'd want to go back for any lenght of time but it was fun to go there! May pretty dang busy, Levi got ordained an elder so we drove to wyoming for that. Our entire family got sick accept for Melissa because she wasn't there and Lila and my mom. EVERYONE else got sick with stomach flu. It was no fun and I missed more school HOORAY!I got to see almost my entire family! Just not Melissa, but Melissa DID come for Teagan's sealing as a surprise to all of us and our entire family was together for the first time is seven years, I believe! Now it is june and I'm out of school for about a week and then I have to go to summer school to get caught up on all the classes from my sophomore year since I skipped a grade! It is totally worth it to me and I'm so happy I get to graduate early! pretty sure the quote of my highschool years is "No one said it was going to be easy just that it would be worth it" This is one of the hardest things I've done...skipping an entire grade because in order to do it you have to online and summer classes and possibly night school. Also you have to make up stupid electives and if i wasn't taking seminary it would have been easier..I don't regret that a bit I love seminary and it is VERY important to me but it definitely made things harder! Once I finally get out of highschool I'm off to Wyoming...if Joe and Lila still want me.... :) and then go to byu-i! pretty excited about it! well that's all for now! hope you are all doing great!

Sick...again...

I am completely healed from getting my tonsils out, thankfully, but last wednesday I went to mutual (we are doing a dance festival, SO much fun!) and when I was leaving my ear started to hurt really bad and I could hear my heart beating in my ear. It was kinda a swishing sound actually. I knew immediately what was going to happen because it happened last year too, my ear drum was going to rupture. So I told my mom to try to get a hold of my doctor even though it was probably 9:30 by this time but she called the office so maybe she could get a doctor that was on call but apparently they don't have any doctors on call at the ENT place. So then she called my regular doctor, the one who delivered me and has been my doctor since, and tried to get him but wasn't able to talk to him either. Not sure how it happened but somehow my mom started talking to some nurse in Tennessee...ya pretty weird. She just told us that if it was going to rupture it was going to rupture and there was nothing we could do about it. So I took some medicine to try and cut the pain and went to bed. Sure enough I woke up around 3 and my ear hurt super bad but I couldn't hear my heart beating anymore and there was some yucky fluid stuff in my ear. I went back to sleep and when I woke up for school I felf awful and decided that I was going to stay home so maybe we could try to get an appointment. I went back to sleep and slept the whole day. My mom called the doctor and they said they couldn't get me in until 5pm I was pretty mad but at least I was able to go to the doctor. We waited there FOREVER it seemed like and everyone in the waiting room was sick and coughing and doing other loud things that hurt my ears so my mom asked the nurse if I could get a room to wait in so it would be quieter. They gave me a room and I layed there crying until the doctor came in. He looked in my ear and then suctioned out everything. It hurt SOOOO bad because it was loud and also because he stuck a needle in my ear and popped something and then suctioned all of that. Man it hurt. Then he gave me some antibiotics and we were off. I now have to take antibiotics three times a day for ten days. Hopefully I will be done being sick for a while. I am doing a lot better but I have a bad cold and a cough and my ear still hurts but I think I will go to to school on Monday because I missed two more days due to my stupid ear! I'm getting further and further behind!

2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It'll be done this year. (ha! 10 whole months :)
4. You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry or an article on properly cleaning your face before a masque. I may draw or paint something. I may bake something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! I do promise fabulosity here folks...

Tonsils and Adenoids!

So I haven't updated in a long time...I got my tonsils and adenoids out and it was death! Probably the worst experience of my life! It hurt like mad for 8 days, which isn't that long but it seemed like eternity. Sunday was the worst day by far! I woke up at one or two am and my throat hurt so incredibly bad! I called my mom (I had to take medicine every four hours, during the night also. so i had my mom take her phone to bed with her and when it was time I would call her! worked pretty good!) and she came down to give me my medicine. I had to eat something before taking the medicine but it hurt so bad I didn't want to take my medicine. I thought I was going to die. I was crying and my mom was just sitting there hugging me! I finally ate something and took my med. but it still hurt and I wouldn't stop crying. I told my mom to go get dad to give me a blessing so that I would be able to sleep and so the pain would calm down a bit. He couldn't give me a blessing for the sick since there weren't two people but he gave me a father's blessing. My mom stayed with me for a while until i calmed down and then she went back to bed and I was able to go to sleep. In the morning I we had someone from the ward come over and help give me a blessing. I'm so grateful that my dad hold's the priesthood and i was able to sleep and not feel so much pain!
Getting my tonsils out was probably the worst experience of my life and the worst pain i have ever felt. I will never be able to describe the pain! I've decided that since it is easier on kids I'm going to get all my kids tonsils out just in case there is a problem later on because I don't want them to endure the pain I had! Anyway...That is the tonsil story! It was awful basically! I'm doing a lot better now. I still can't eat solid food unless it is very soft or easy to mush up...like ramen noodles and pancakes! But I cannot wait to eat real food it has been almost 10 days since I have eaten something real!
Oh and my advice to you is if there is any sign of your kids having bad tonsils..sore throats all the time, strep, whatever just get them out now so they won't remember the pain and it will be easier on them!!! :D

Tuna Noodle Casserole! YUM!

Before

So I was talking to Lila the other day and she ask me how things were going now that Levi is gone and I told her it was awful that I missed him so much and that I'm always bored and have nothing to do. She told me to make dinner for the family before they all got home from work but I didn't know what to make and she told me to make tuna noodle casserole. She told me how to make it over the phone and then i made it. I think everyone liked it. I sure did! It was real good!

Holiday Happiness! NERT!

So I decided I should do a different update..Like something besides Manic Monday so here goes...This year for Christmas we had almost everyone home. The only people who weren't here were Joe and Melissa. So we did pretty good. When Cody came into town I got to spend a day with him! We went to get christmas shopping and had breakfast. It was a so much fun to hang out with him! Normally on Christmas eve we go caroling but this year we didn't for some reason...we stayed home and watched the christmas story, I had never seen it before and i really liked it. Oh and Carter came home on Christmas eve and that is when we watched the christmas story. anyway moving on...we also normally stay up all hours of the night to play games but we didn't do that either...Christmas morning we got up and opened our presents. I got a bunch of clothes from DI, a sign to hang in my room that says "Princess daughter of a Heavenly King", the movies stardust and no reservations, a couple CD's, a shirt and set of earrings from levi, a shirt from carter, a BSU hoodie from cody, and my favorite present...a book of all of my siblings testimonies. I cried through the whole book! It was the best present ever! Then after all the presents were opened we went to Micah and Cori's house to have waffles with strawberries on top with everyone! Then we went over to Grandma Russell's house. She didn't know it was christmas and I had to tell her to open her presents. After that, Carter, Logan, Levi and I went to Benjamin Button. It was pretty good but I wouldn't recommend it just because it is 3 hours long and I got distracted during the movie because it was so slow. It was interesting and pretty cool but you can wait until it is in the dollar theater! The rest of my break was a lot of fun...I won't go into a lot of detail because this is getting rather long. I will tell you that for Cali's birthday (dec. 31) we went sledding at her uncles

sledding mountain place. You get a tube and then a rope pulls you up a mountain. Then you choose from 6 lanes to go down and it is a lot of fun. We were there for two hours and then we went and had lunch in a church parking lot and then went to Cali's house and played games and then we went to red robin. then came back to cali's house and waited until 11:59 so we could start counting down to the end of Cali's birthday! haha! So my break was a lot of fun. Now I am just preparing for finals coming up next week and then it will be a new semester!! Oh i forgot to mention one thing. I went to the doctor and i have to get my tonsils and adenoids out on the 3rd of feb. that will be exciting......
